Lantara Consulting was born out of founder Monica D. Tarasco’s more than 20 years of experience sitting in several different seats at the deal table. She has served critical roles within an operating company (building products) of a public holding company, the corporate office of a publicly traded mining company, a corporate law firm, and a boutique law firm.

Over her career, Monica has navigated a wide range of complex transactions in various capacities. As she built deep technical expertise, she recognized a crucial truth: the success of a deal relies just as much on effective communication and relationship management as it does on the math. This unique dual perspective perfectly positions her to orchestrate highly complex transaction projects.

As a strategic transactions leader who is also certified in negotiation, Monica has a profound appreciation for the human factors of M&A. She is uniquely adept at handling the complex, nuanced issues that fall outside the margins of spreadsheets and legal documents. Her ultimate objective is to efficiently and effectively manage projects to a successful completion—optimizing deal value and mitigating execution risk.

While Monica continues to maintain an active legal practice, Lantara Consulting is a separate and distinct, non-legal entity. Her work here is focused exclusively on business consulting and strategic execution.
